I am trying to change the generation of my map so it just produces hex outlines that I can color in through the hex markers. That is, I am creating a typical Unity terrain that I wish to just project the hexes on.
Is there a way to not produce any foreground texture (or produce a transparent texture) but keep the ability to highlight hexes?
It seems that a "transparent" material will produce a bright white texture.
I am also looking to get rid of the foreground texture so that I can use realtime shadows. These shadows don't seem to work on the projected foreground.
