First how big can you go? If I understand correctly the terrain is a single object right? So after the map is generated, it should make little difference how big it is. I am looking for something more strategical than tactical, that's why I'd need a lot of hexes. On another note, is there a way already there to make the map wrap along the edges? Something like CIV at least, were the map wraps to represent a round world. Thanks in advance.

Hi! No, terrain is a set of chunks, it is not a single object. In Unity 5.1.1 I have no problem with world around 10000 hexes (Civilization 5 biggest maps was 120x80 = 9600 if I remember correctly so it should satisfy you "is there a way already there to make the map wrap along the edges" Sorry, no there is no feature to do it, and this one might be a bit tricky as the world is stored in chunks as mentioned before which means that they does not match exact hex positions, and are with a bit of offset to them. Some tweeking should do the job though
